Street Lighting
Blue Lagoon has street lighting provided by San Miguel de Salinas City Council (SMdSCC) for the roads, and the Community’s own solar lighting for the pathways and the Blue Lagoon roads in Orihuela Costa.

Road lighting
- Light bulbs do not unfortunately last forever
- Security regularly check that street lighting is working and inform San Miguel de Salinas City Council if repairs or replacements need to happen.
- If you want to report a light that is not working you can do so by sending a WhatsApp message to the President, Jackie Baker (+34 602 48 26 12), or by completing the Contact form. Please include the plot number, the street name and villa number that the light is outside of.
Solar lighting
- A bit like bulbs do not last forever, the sun does not always shine
- However, we also want to know if there is a problem, so once again, please let the team know by either by sending a WhatsApp message to the President, Jackie Baker (+34 602 48 26 12), or completing the Contact form. Once again, please include the plot number, street name and villa number that the light is outside of.
Upgrading of street lighting
- You may recall receiving an email from the previous administrator, Corpus Administración, in May 2022 that mentioned that SMdSCC had plans in place to start upgrading the street lighting in Blue Lagoon.
- The work on the selected roads has now been completed (for link to original post on SMdSCC website – CLICK HERE)
- Recent correspondence with SMdSCC resulted in the following response – ‘The Municipal Corporation is considering the investments to be made for this year, and a first public lighting action is being studied in another urbanization of the municipality (Ciudad de las Comunicaciones). As the subsidies to which this municipality may opt are published, the possibilities of another area of action will be raised, among which would be the Blue Lagoon urbanization.‘
- We will update this section when we have more news.
